We are not alone

8 weeks ago, on 19 August 2011 I posted our first Room Critic photo on Instagram. With that post we created a thing – the #roomcritic tag. Even though our first image was just our logo and a message for people to follow us, I didn’t really think of it as starting a ‘thing’. It was more like a ‘see what happens’, but I guess that’s how all things start.

After spending a night tag surfing, through Instagrams hundreds of tags I soon realised we are not alone. There are others, thousands of others. Other people who love hotel rooms. Since that evening, I have chatted to, followed, liked, commented and viewed more resort, hotel and hotel room pictures than I could count. Suggesting to everyone they should tag their images with the #roomcritic tag. I have also been busy, adding 57 photos of our own. Tagging as I went.

In the early hours of last night the #roomcritic gallery reached 500 images. Below is a selection of our favorite photos from our Instabuddies. These images are what we at Room Critic are all about. We want to show the world what to expect when they unlock their hotel room door.
