Melbourne’s Art Series Hotels visit Sydney for Art and About.

This week has been a relatively busy one on the RoomCritic social calendar with two big events. On Tuesday it was the opening party for the new QT Sydney boutique hotel, and Saturday was the Art Series Hotels art event for the Art & About festival in Sydney.

Art Series Hotels invited some of the country’s most exciting contemporary artists, street artists and designers to take part in Conversation Corner -part of this year’s Art & About Sydney festival.

The panel of artists Sarah Goffman, Stormie Mills, Paul Davies (a RoomCritic personal fave) and winner of the Archibald Prize People’s Choice Award Vincent Fantauzzo were hosted by Jane O’Neill, in-house art curator for Art Series Hotels, sharing their career highlights and experiences across two talks at the warehouse gallery space at 74-76 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst.

O’Neill explains: “The Art Series Hotel Group has proven to be a major supporter of the arts following the opening of three hotels which pay tribute to some of Australia’s most well-known artists – The Cullen, The Olsen and The Blackman. The initiation of this free event affirms the Art Series commitment to the broader art community and we’re looking forward to some feisty, funny conversations about contemporary art with the Sydney public.”
