At RoomCritic we love any excuse to travel, and here’s a great reason to add San Fancisco to your must go destination list. Begining on March 5 and running until 2015, the San Francisco Bay Bridge will light up with an $8 million light show called Bay Lights.

Almost two miles wide and 500 feet tall, the 25,000 LED light installation is the brain child of Leo Villareal and Ben Davis (founder of the creative agency Words Pictures Ideas). Each night, between dusk and midnight, the LED’s will light up with algorithmically generated patterns created from the local weather, wildlife, and traffic data.

Here are 3 nearby San Francisco hotels that offer stunning views of the Bay Bridge.
