Hotel Crush | QT Hotel Sydney
At RoomCritic we’ve had a healthy hotel crush on Sydney’s quirky QT Hotel since the opening in September 2012. Set within two of the city’s most iconic buildings – the historic Gowings department store and heritage-listed State Theatre – QT Sydney has already become a landmark in the Harbor City.
Although summer is now officially over in the Southern hemisphere, Sydney is still enjoying temperatures in the mid to high 20’s. Although the weather can be a little unpredictable, it’s still a great destination to skip the northern chill. The most popular beaches in the city, Bondi Beach and Manly Beach, are both a short drive from the hotel and ideal places to bask in the warm Australian sun. Sydney’s Hyde Park is a short walk from the hotel, an idyllic urban retreat for sunbathing and jogging. Other nearby sights include the Sydney Opera House, the Harbor Bridge and the Center Point Tower. Back at the hotel, the spaQ offers customized treatments and a traditional men’s barber with hot shaves and a Hammam-spired steam and ice room.
We’ll soon be doing a series of staycation stories on hotels around the world from the people who live there. Which hotel would you choose for a staycation in your city? Let us know below. We guarantee to show and tell everything we get up to when we stay at QT Sydney and others.
