AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort stretches out from the Sepang coastline, almost a kilometre into the sheltered waters of the Straits of Malacca, Malaysia. This unique resort boasts 315 overwater bungalows that form the shape of a palm tree over the water.
Free high speed internet access is still not a given in hotels in 2016, although most guests now expect this service, and many choose their hotels based on internet access and connectivity.
On checking in at Alila Villas Soori, we were taken on a golf buggy to our villa for the next few days. The road from the open air lobby took us past the villas along tree lined lanes of the resort to our new destination, Ocean View Villa 204. Massive wooden doors were unlocked and opened to see a spectacular view directly to the ocean.
